The challenge we faced was to create a new business opportunity creating a new product category in food vending machines. The two main objectives were, on the one hand, change the perception of the vending sector to a gourmet positioning, in which Azkoyen stands out thanks to its disruptive innovation. On the other hand, enhance the customer experience by making it more personalized and enriching.
In addition, the project was very important to optimize existing technology and integrate it into the new product in a disruptive manner, so that sales techniques were retooled.
Throughout the project we analyzed locations, trends and consumer habits and needs. We create a map of experience in which were considered different locations and contexts of use, which delve into every step of the buying process and the critical points were identified.
Mormedi designed a modular machine to suit different user profiles and environments. We also created a mood board that transmitted the inspiration of warm and clean materials, modern design and innovative signage.
Finally, our product development department accompanied Azkoyen in the work of prototyping to ensure that every material, union or detail respect the initial concept.
We created Button Gourmet, a self-service restaurant that goes a step beyond the vending machine with a neat modular design that allows you to customize the brand and adapt it to any environment. Its interface, clear and simple, completes the ecosystem, getting to meet customer needs and exceed their expectations.
Button Gourmet was recognized with a RedDot Design Award in 2015.
