Taking home technology ecosystems to the next level

Mormedi worked along with Telefónica on an ambitious project to position its brand at the heart of the home, and increase its visibility and customer loyalty, by designing a "home environment" product line.


Our challenge

The challenge that we faced was to create an ecosystem of devices and services that would differentiate Telefónica from its competitors and overcome the lack of consistency suffered by the products available on the market at the time.

Our path

Work at Mormedi began with a brand analysis and a competitive benchmark study. Then we created a product identity manual to give a coherent vision to the whole device family and develop an emotional bond between the user and the brand.

We accompanied Telefónica throughout the process: from the conceptualisation of the product to mass production. Moreover, we helped Telefónica and the device manufacturer to adapt their processes to ensure that the final product respected the original design.

Our achievements

The HGU (Home Gateway Unit) has a fresh and clean design that conveys modernity and sophistication. The device is the base of a family of products that will grow in the future to provide integrated services within the home.
