Improving the life of chronic patients.

Telefónica made contact with Mormedi to contribute to one of the greatest challenges of modern society: to help define and shape innovative health care solutions that are adapted to the changing needs of our time.


Our challenge

The Mormedi team started out evaluating initial prototypes of an e-health app, which aimed improving the life of chronic patients through empowerment and increased autonomy thus creting efficiencies for the health care provider under the Telefónica owned O2 and Movistar brands.


Our path

By working with experience maps, storytelling techniques and low fidelity prototypes of visual concepts i semi-structured interviews and workshops with chronic patients, we deepened our understanding of user and caretaker needs.

Throughout the whole process we worked together with the Telefónica team on the definition of the information architecture from initial prototyping to final implementation follow up.


Our achievements

We implemented a set of improvements to make Cronica easy and intuitive to use on multiple devices while also taking special care of key features such as the need of privacy, a prominent insight form our research.

An e-health app with which respond to the challenge of empowering chronic patients to improve the quality of their lives, and thus contribute to a more efficient and sustainable health system.
