Juliane graduated with a Master in Industrial Design, at the Academy of Fine and Applied Arts in Stuttgart, Germany, under the mentorship of Prof. Richard Sapper.
She has over 18 years of experience working at the interface of Industrial Design and Design Research & Strategy for leading designers and corporations in Germany, Italy, Spain and USA.
While at Teague (2001-2009) she spearheaded the creation of Teague´s Research & Strategy group and formed part of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner interior strategy and design team.
During 8 years she collaborated closely with the Boeing Concept Center leading and participating in Future Concept initiatives and innovation projects, including strategic investigation and conceptualization for future airplane interiors.
Since joining Mormedi in 2010 she has been helping to propel Mormedi towards international recognition as a world class innovation and design agency.
Among other relevant information, Juliane’s master’s thesis project, a concept for a kindergarten in the lower fuselage of an airplane, done in collaboration with Airbus, received an award for best thesis of the year by the German State Prize for Young Designers and was exhibited at the Deutsche Museum Munich in 1995.
She holds 18 US patents, including one patent for an airplane interior concept.
