Maruan holds an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid. He has 15 years of international experience, with roles in both communications and corporate strategy.
Maruan spent some years working in strategic communications in Tokyo, where he managed partnerships with companies in 15 countries, and designed an innovative digital healthcare marketing campaign—the first of its kind in Japan—reaching over 63 million people in its first year.
After graduating with honours from IE Business School’s International MBA program, Maruan focused on business strategy as a management consultant in London. Maruan managed teams to carry out the commercial due diligence process for a number of large firms, identified acquisition targets for merger deals worth in excess of US$100m, and formulated the profitability strategy for a major business unit of one of the UK’s top 5 retailers.
